Kids of all ages are invited this weekend to get wet and muddy with Dallas County Conservation, as they host a “Nature Play Day.”

The event will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon at the Voas Nature Area near Minburn, and the focus will be on exploring the wetlands. Possible activities include catching frogs, looking for worms, and making mud pies. Conservation promises things will get messy, so older attire is recommended and attendees are encouraged to bring a towel and a change of clothes. Registration is not required for this free event, and it will take place in rain or shine. For more information on this and other upcoming Dallas County Conservation events, stop in or call Forest Park Museum in Perry at 515-465-3577.
