The musical entertainment for the 40th annual Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson has been announced.
Bell Tower Festival Chair Pete Russell says Hawk McIntyre along with Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos will be performing on Friday, June 7th on the plaza stage south of the Greene County Courthouse. Then on Saturday, June 8th will be performances from Jessica McClintock, Taylor King and the Jay Clyde Band. Russell says there’s a wide variety of music for everyone to enjoy this year.
“We were looking to broaden our horizons and make a little twist in our bell tower this year. So we added some more music and stuff, and we have a lot of new events and things going on this year.”
Some of the new events include a cook-off contest, texting and driving simulator, a blacklight dodgeball contest and a dance for middle school students. Russell is needing volunteers to help make this year’s “Bell Tower Festival: Retro With a Twist” a success.
“We need all the volunteers that we can get this year. We have so much going on that we just need everybody to help us out. You can sign up over at the (Greene County) Chamber office and let us know what area you’re interested in and we’d love to have your help.”
You can call the Chamber at 515-386-2155. The Bell Tower Festival is from June 7th through the 9th.
