With the current school year winding down to a close, it’s never too early to look ahead to the important dates in the next year. For students in the Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Districts, the calendar will look very similar for 2019-20.
The main difference between the schedules is the start date, as Perry students in grades 1-12 will begin on Friday, August 23rd. Kindergartners will start on Monday the 26th, and preschool will commence on Thursday, the 29th. For ADM, all grade levels will start classes on August 26th. The two districts will then have identical winter breaks, starting with a two-hour early dismissal on Friday, December 20th, and returning on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
Spring Break will also be similar, running the week of March 15th, though ADM will begin a day earlier, on Friday, March 13th. The schedule for seniors at the end of the year for Perry and ADM will be the same, with their last day on Thursday, May 21st and the commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 24th. Finally, barring any make-up days due to school being cancelled for snow or other circumstances, the last day of school for all other grades at Perry will be Thursday, May 28th, and ADM will wrap up the day after, on Friday, May 29th.
As a reminder, due to snow days the current school year for ADM will conclude on Friday, May 31st, and Perry will dismiss on Thursday, June 6th.
