Today is the last day of the “Dreams Start Here” Available Buildings Tour in Jefferson.

There are a dozen buildings in the downtown square that are available for anyone to look through and talk with the building owners or a building representative today. While the targeted audience is entrepreneurs and small business owners, anyone from the public is also invited to take a tour. Jefferson Matters: Main Street is one of the entities that organized the two-day event, that kicked-off this past Thursday, and Program Director Peg Raney hopes by exposing the buildings to several individuals, it’ll pay off in the end.

“I think when they can go around from place to place and then picture themselves, ‘Okay, I think I can see myself here. I want to talk to that building owner and see.’ Because I think there are some that are considering leasing instead of buying. Just a chance to be able to try some different options and be able to talk to them.”

Raney adds that the feedback from Thursday was very positive from those who participated in the tour and there were inquires about sizes of different properties. The tour is from 10am to 2pm. The building owners and representatives will be available from noon to 1pm. Registrations must be done at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center. It is free to participate.
