The City of Minburn is one of several communities celebrating their 150th birthday this year, and they will be hosting a fundraising event for the festivities tonight.
The Minburn Sesquicentennial Committee is hosting “Dine and Donate” this evening at the Washington Township School from 4:30-7:30 p.m. There will be a pasta dinner available for a free-will donation, which will also get you salad, dessert, and a drink. There will also be a silent auction at the event, with a wide variety of items donated from local sources. All proceeds from the evening will go towards the “Rollin’ Home,” 150 Years of Memories celebration, to be held from July 3-8.
The planning committee also reminds local businesses that there are sponsorship opportunities available for the Sesquicentennial, ranging from $75 for your name on the poster at the skating rink, to $500 for your name and logo on the poster, a stage event banner, and more. Logos must be received by May 1st for advertising deadlines. For more information, contact Minburn City Hall at 515-677-2712.
