12:42am: Brent Allen 34 of Ames was booked into the jail for theft 4th degree.
1:45am: Rexo Mackey 38 of Geuda Springs, Kansas was booked into the jail for a probation violation.
7:02am: A deputy, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident on 220th Street near Pioneer Avenue. Jon Nelson 27 of Jefferson was following a Morton Buildings truck and trailer heading east on 220th Street. The sun was in Jon’s eyes and he did not see the Morton truck and trailer slowing to turn and rear ended the trailer. Jon was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance. Jon was driving a 2003 Buick Lesabre that was totaled in the accident. The damage to the trailer was less than 500 dollars.
3:30pm: A deputy investigated a civil dispute in the 400 block of Bell Street, Churdan.
5:01pm: A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 900 block of Grant Street, Scranton.
7:14pm: A deputy tried to located a box in the roadway on U Avenue near 170th Street.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
