The annual St. Patrick’s Church and School Auction is this weekend in Perry, and the community is invited to place their bids to help raise money for a good cause.

The event will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. at La Poste, and tickets are still available. In addition to the traditional auction items, there is also a new aspect this year: a tuition raffle. There are a limited number of raffle tickets available for purchase at the school office, and a winner will be drawn the night of the auction. The winning ticket will earn its owner a free year of parishioner tuition to St. Pat’s Catholic School. The cost is $50 per ticket, which will net one lucky person a prize worth $3,050.

Tickets for the auction can be purchased ahead of time at the school or church, or by calling 515-465-4186, and cost $30 per person or $50 for a couple. However, attendees are encouraged to get their tickets now, because on the night of the event the price goes up to $40 per person, and there is no discount for pairs.
