The 2019 Greene County Impact Award winner has been announced.

This year’s recipient is Jerry Roberts of Jefferson. The award is given to someone in recognition of their activities that have made an impact on Greene County residents. Roberts has served in multiple capacities as a volunteer.

He is an active member with the Jefferson Public Library Children’s Department reading to the second and third graders, and has done several activities as an active member of the Jefferson Elks Club. He has previously been a member of the Friends of the Jefferson Library and served on the Genesis Development Board of Directors for six years, along with serving as its president in 2017. Roberts has been involved in several activities with the Greene County Historical Society with their “historical chats” during the county fair and wrote and narrated the musical production of “Eva.”

A ceremony to honor the tenth recipient of the award will be held on Sunday, June 2nd at the Greene County Courthouse rotunda at 3pm.
