The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association is challenging everyone to contribute to their fundraising efforts to help flood victims.

The Cattlemen are donating $5,000 to help with flood victims in southwest Iowa and Nebraska and they are challenging the rest of the county to match their contribution. Anyone who wants to make a donation may do so at Home State Bank in Jefferson or at any Peoples Bank location in the county. Checks can be made payable to the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association earmarked for flood relief.

Cattlemen member Mike Holden says they wanted to help farmers and other cattle producers who were impacted by the floods and they want to thank all of the sponsors of their annual trophy auction for their support in this effort. The deadline for accepting donations is May 3rd.
