Several Guthrie County chapters attended the 91st Iowa FFA Leadership Conference earlier this week.

The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center chapter received several recognitions. The farm management team of Emily McCann, Anna Klingenberg, Paige Caltrider and McKlain Jorgensen received a gold and placed 15th overall. Taylor Lemke, Keeley Vasey, and Anna Lauritsen received their Iowa FFA Degrees, the highest honor the state can bestow on an FFA member. The West Central Valley poultry judging team of Cole Sackett, Chloie Otto, Sabrina Becker, and Sam McKibbin received gold, and Kaila Findley and Joelle Grubbs received their Iowa FFA Degrees. Panorama received gold for the chapter display by Lindsey Vangundy and Hailey Meacham, four students received Iowa FFA degrees, and the chapter received a Supreme National Chapter award.

ACGC FFA:

The Farm Management Team, made up of Emily McCann, Anna Klingenberg, Paige Caltrider and McKlain Jorgensen received a gold and placed 15th overall.

The Ag Sales Team, made up of Gage Buttler, Dylan Cooper, Jaden Carney and Bryce Rochholz received a bronze and placed 48th overall.

The Poultry Team, made up of Josie Sargent, Madison Suhr, McKenzie Reinhart and Keely Vasey received a silver and placed 49th overall.

Kailey Evans and Brittany Hays took the Greenhand Quiz. Medal results are yet to be posted.

Treasurer Book, entered by Taylor Lemke received a gold and placed 4th overall.

Taylor Lemke, Keeley Vasey and Anna Lauritsen received their Iowa FFA Degrees; the highest honor a state can bestow on an FFA member.

McKenzie Reinehart served on the auditing committee and Taylor Lemke served on the POA committee while both also served as delegates and voted on this next year’s State FFA Officer Team.

Lauren Knutter participated in State Chorus.

The Chapter as a whole was also awarded the following awards:

A bronze in Supreme National Chapter.

Southwest District Champion in the Ambassador Program.

3rd overall in WHO Public Relations.

A certificate for participation in Iowa Farmer Today.
