On Monday night, the West Central Valley Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field teams competed in an Boy/Girl Invitational at Van Meter High School.

The WCV Boys’ team was missing many of its leaders on Monday night due to the FFA convention. The West Central Valley Boys’ managed to finish sixth of twelve teams on Monday night, with a total of 43 team points.

The WCV Girls’ team didn’t finish quite as well, as they tied for eleventh place of fourteen teams competing on Monday night. The WCV Girls’ Track team finished with 18 total team points.

For the Boys’ Cole Arnburg won the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.02 seconds. Bryce Sechrist, Jon Kalbach, Rush Rowan, and Reese Lottie also mustered Top 10 individual finishes for the Wildcats on Monday. WCV distance runner, Louden Foster placed first in the 1600 meter run with his time of 4:45.84.

Tonight, the West Central Valley Boys’ and Girls’ Track teams will host their own Invitational at WCV High School in Stuart beginning at 4:30. The Wildcats will welcome eight other teams tonight to their home track tonight.
