A Guthrie Center man was arrested and charged with violating a no-contact order in an ongoing sex abuse case.

According to court documents, 26-year-old James Lee Rasmussen was arrested on March 29th after the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office was informed he had approached the protected minor on a public street and verbally harassed him. Rasmussen appeared in court on March 30th and was later released. Rasmussen has pled not guilty to charges of third degree sexual abuse and enticing a minor under the age of 13, both class C felonies,; and three counts of dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to minors, a serious misdemeanor.
