The Perry Chamber of Commerce is getting into the Easter spirit by rolling out a brand new event that they’re calling the Spring Shopping Eggstravaganza.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the festivities will run tomorrow throughout the day at several Chamber businesses located in the downtown area and beyond. Pasutti says the idea came about during a merchant meeting, and it will function similar to the annual Chocolate Walk, but with some key differences. “Unlike the Chocolate Walk, where you get your tickets and you go around and you get chocolate everywhere, this one is a little bit more theme-based. And so it’s going to be different at each location. I know some will have the plastic eggs, and you pick one and open it up and there’s some kind of surprise; whether it’s chocolates or a coupon for in-store specials, things like that.”
There is no cost to take part in the Spring Shopping Eggstravaganza, and it will be active during the participating businesses’ normal hours.
