West Central Valley High School juniors and seniors might want to wear sunglasses at night for this year’s prom.
This year’s prom theme is “Night of 1000 Lights” and festivities Saturday will begin with a grand march at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. The dance will follow from 8:30-11 p.m. at the Country Lane Lodge near Adel. Junior Larissa Crawford is excited as their prom will be the first ever held at the venue. She shares the aesthetic for the prom, “The colors that we picked are silver, black, and white. There’s going to be plenty of string lights, we have actually counted and there are a thousand lights that will be, there are probably more than a thousand lights.”
After prom will follow from 11:45-4:00 a.m. with a hypnotist, KnockerBall, laser tag, and breakfast at the high school.
