Next week is National Extension and Outreach Week and Greene County Extension has lots of activities planned.
The week will kick-off on Monday with a Crocheting 101 class led by Carmen Tilley from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Tuesday will be learning how to prepare meals in a pressure cooker with Greene County Extension staff from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Iowa State University Human Science Specialist Dr. David Brown will lead Wednesday’s program of Managing Stress: Strategies that Work from noon to 12:45pm. Thursday is “Spring into Spring Gardening Tips” with Extension Agronomist Mike Witt from noon to 12:45pm. Finally on Friday, the Extension office will be hosting the weekly Java and Juice program at 9:30am.
All programs are free and open to the public. However, registrations are encouraged. To reserve your spot for any of the programs, contact the Extension office by calling them at 386-2138 or stopping by their location in Jefferson at 104 West Washington Street.
