A bridge project from the Iowa Department of Transportation will affect a state highway in Greene County.
DOT officials say a bridge deck overlay project will start on Monday, April 8th, pending weather conditions, on Iowa Highway 4 over Reading Creek. The project will force traffic to be re-routed from the intersection of highways 4 and 175 to the intersection of 140th Street and Highway 4. The official detour is Highway 4 to County Road P-29 to Highway 175 to Highway 4. DOT Resident Construction Engineer Jenny Hoskins tells Raccoon Valley Radio that county residents can still access the City of Churdan while the project is going on.
The project is estimated to last until June 14th, weather permitting.
