track-and-field

The ADM Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field teams competed twice this week, and in both days, the Tigers put on impressive performances.

Last night, ADM competed in Van Meter. A reschedule date that was postponed due to inclement weather last Friday.
On Tuesday, the Tigers played host to the Hugh Norman Relays in Adel. In that Invitational, the Boys’ finished first, and the Girls’ finished second.

The Girls’ had three different athletes finish first in five separate events. Freshman, Olivia Tollari won the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. Anna Kenny placed first in the 400 meter dash, and 400 meter hurdles. Josi Lonneman celebrated a first place finish for the Tigers in the long jump. The ADM Girls’ couldn’t get over the hump in the relay events, and the finished second in four different relay events.

The Boys’ could attribute their success Tuesday night to a number of athletes. Nate Mueller finished first in two different events for the Tigers, as Mueller won the 800 meter and 3200 meter run. Ethan Juergens won the 1600 meter run, and Tate Stine-Smith finished first for the Tigers in the high jump. ADM also garnered first place in the 440 meter shuttle hurdle relay, and 1600 meter distance medley relay.

The Boys’ of ADM Track and Field are back in action on Tuesday at Pella Christian, and the Girls’ are off until next Thursday, when they travel to Waukee.
