The West Central Valley Boys’ Track and Field team will be back in competition tonight at East Union High School in Afton, for a Boys’ Varsity meet.

The Wildcats will see a wide range of competition tonight that they haven’t faced yet this season, including, East Union, Central Decatur, Diagonal, Lamoni, Lenox, Mormon Trail, Murray, Orient-Macksburg, Southwest Valley, and Wayne.

Last week, West Central Valley had success at the Early Bird Invitational in Earlham on Tuesday. Cole Arnburg was the winner of the 200 meter dash, Sophomore, Louden Foster was second and third in the 1600 meter run and 3200 meter run. Jon Kalbach also placed fourth in the shot put.

The 2018 state qualifying team 4×400 meter relay team finished fifth, but anchor, Cole Arnburg was dealing with cramping issues and couldn’t run in that event. Coach Eric Addy would like to see his 4×400 team at full strength tonight to properly gauge where they stand as a unit.

The first events will get started at 4:30 this afternoon at East Union.
