The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will start with a public hearing regarding a voluntary annexation of property currently owned by Joyce Conklin VanKirk, which will be used for a new City animal shelter. After the hearing, the Council will consider approval of the annexation. In new business, they will consider the reappointments of three individuals to three different boards and commissions. That will be followed by awarding the bid for the demolition of a hangar at the Perry Municipal Airport, as well as appointing a representative to the Dallas County Local Housing Trust Fund.

Next, the Council will have discussion and possible action regarding a policy for the Police Department utilizing grant funds through the Iowa Community Assurance Pool (ICAP). Finally, the Council will consider approving an annual request from the Art on the Prairie Committee to use City property for the 2019 Fiber Art Fair. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
