A reminder that tomorrow is the second annual BOOST Bash for the Greene County School District.

However, if you do not have a ticket to the sold out event for Bringing Opportunities and Optimism for our Students and Teachers (BOOST), you can still donate to the non-profit organization. The silent auction allows individuals to participate via a mobile app on their smartphones. Some of the items include a variety of signed memorabilia from Iowa State University, University of Iowa and the Greene County Rams; along with locally produced items, one-of-a-kind “experience” packages, student artwork and student made items and much more. The bidding opens at 5pm tonight and will end during the event tomorrow. Just click the link below and sign up to bid.

Last year, the first-ever fundraiser brought in over $50,000 and every teacher in the school district were given funds to use in their classrooms. Plus, nearly four dozen projects were funded.

The event will be held tomorrow at the Greene Room events center at Wild Rose in Jefferson. Doors open at 5:30, with the meal to be served at 6:30 and the live auction will follow. Cash donations are accepted through their website and checks can be made payable to Greene County Educational Foundation with BOOST in the memo line and should be mailed to Greene County Schools BOOST, P.O. Box 4, Jefferson, IA 50129.
