Historic revitalization of the downtown, community events, and economic development are some of the services provided by a local organization, all thanks to community members’ support.
Main Street Guthrie Center is the midst of their annual donation drive, as the non-profit is sustained by private donations. Main Street Guthrie Center has been a part of downtown renovation projects such as the Williams Building and the Guthrie Activity Center, hosts events such as the Outdoor Movie Night Series and Fall-O-Ween Festival, and have brought programming to the community such as the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
Main Street Guthrie Center Director Dana Buster is grateful for the community’s support to the organization, “We are so appreciative of everybody who donates, and it really gives us an idea of what we can (do) and have money for the year, and what we can bring to the community. So we’re excited to get going on raising our funds for the year and making our plans for all the exciting new things that we will do here in Guthrie Center this year.”
