Tuesday, March 26th
1:28am: A Traffic Stop at Chestnut and McKinley Streets resulted in Brittney Olson of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
7:55am: An officer covered a One Vehicle Property Damage Accident at 106 West Washington Street. A 2015 Buick Lacrosse, owned and operated by Dawna Helms was entering the parking lot at HyVee. Helms was distracted by another vehicle driving in the area. His vehicle jumped the curb and struck a large landscaping rock, causing damage to the vehicle. The officer estimated the damage to the Helms vehicle at $1000.00.
11:08am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street.
4:57pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 703 South Vine Street.
5:25pm: Dilicia Aguilar Flores spoke to an officer about a possible harassment situation occurring with co-workers at 1409 North Elm Street.
5:26pm: A subject turned in an Iowa Driver’s License he had found at 606 Hwy. 30 East.
8:26pm: A caller advised of a truck and trailer parked at 1006 North Walnut Street, with
the trailer protruding into the roadway. The officer spoke to a subject at the residence, who moved the hazard.
8:29pm: Donna Meredith reported lost/stolen car keys from 307 West Lincoln Way Street.
8:38pm: Christa Simons reported a suspicious male knocking on her door at 307 Grauer Street. The male would not advise who he was when she asked through the door. He left the area and officers did not locate him in the area.
9:37pm: The Story County Sheriff’s Office requested Jefferson officers to look for a vehicle traveling between Huxley and Carroll. The driver was reported to be suicidal. The officers did not locate the vehicle in Jefferson.
