A high-profile candidate for President of the United States will be visiting Perry this week. The Perry Area Democrats are hosting U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for a meet and greet at La Poste on Friday.
The second-term Democratic Senator from Massachusetts announced her candidacy in February. She’s making her second trip to the state ahead of the 2020 Iowa Caucuses, and her first trip to Dallas County. The meet and greet is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend. However, people are encouraged to RSVP to the event ahead of time. The doors will open at 3 p.m. Friday, with Warren scheduled to speak starting at 3:30.
