The upcoming Perry Sesquicentennial Celebration now has a face, as the planning committee recently announced the winner of the logo design contest.
Several designs were submitted, with the winning logo contributed by Betsy Peterson. The image includes a large number “150” placed over the word “Perry.” Inside the numbers are images of the four Streetscape Sculptures along Willis Avenue, which were created with Perry’s history in mind. Also included is an image of the iconic Hotel Pattee, and the Perry Community School District’s logo. Peterson created the winning logo based on the event’s theme, which is “Rails to Trails: 150 Years of Growth.”
The design will now be used for t-shirts, commemorative coins, and an assortment of other merchandise offered ahead of the celebration. The Sesquicentennial event will run July 5-7. To view the logo, go to RVR.com and click on this story.
