The Panorama girls track and field team continued its strong performance in the early part of the season at the Iowa State indoor meet on Monday.
The team set four new indoor school records, including Ella Waddle besting her own mark in the 1500-meters for the third time in as many meets. The other three came from the relay teams in the 4×100, 4×400 and the sprint medley.
Around 70 schools from all classes participated in the meet with Panorama posting seven top ten finishes. In addition to the relay teams Morgan Johnk placed sixth in both the high jump and the 60-meter hurdles while Kassidy Bremer and Bailey Beckman took seventh and eighth respectively in the long jump.
Coach Greg Thompson said his team had heavy legs after a full day of competition at Buena Vista University just two days earlier, but they competed very well.
Both the girls and boys teams will be back in action Friday at the Graceland indoor meet.
