A Scranton resident was recently appointed to serve on a national organization.
Mike Holden was appointed by the Iowa Beef Industry Council to serve on the United States Meat Export Federation. The mission of the organization is to enhance the demand for the country’s beef, pork and lamb industries in export markets with dynamic partnerships of all stakeholders around the world.
Holden was appointed to the USMEF when the former appointee from the Iowa Beef Industry Council moved out of state. Holden is currently serving his second one-year term on the Iowa Beef Industry Council. He is also a member of the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association.
Holden most recently attended an event last week where he met with the Consul-General of Japan during the Japan-Iowa Partnership event held at the Des Moines Embassy Club.
