Two previous attempts have been thwarted by weather, but the Perry Sesquicentennial Committee is hopeful Mother Nature cooperates with their latest attempt to host a trivia fundraiser.
Perry Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti says the feeling in the committee is that in spite of the delays, the event will be worth the wait. “Third time’s a charm! We hope that that actually pans out. So again, it’s open to everyone. You can RSVP ahead of time, (or) you can show up that day. (It’s) Perry trivia, not just (for) history buffs and things like that, it’ll be quite the range of questions that the committee has put together. So it’ll be fun and a good fundraiser for the event in July.”
The Sesquicentennial Trivia will be held this Thursday at La Poste, with registration starting at 6 p.m., and the contest kicking off at 6:30. The cost to participate is $10 per person, and teams can have as many as eight members. Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Chris Cohea will once again serve as emcee for the festivities.
