A reminder that there will be a fundraiser tonight in Scranton.

The 6-on-6 Basketball Fundraiser returns to the Scranton Community Center. Before the game begins at 6:30pm, there will be a free-will donation soup supper starting at 5pm. The game will be high school girls from towns in the county as the Greene County All-Stars against the Greene County adult women of the Iowa Hot Shots. The Town and Country Band will perform at pre-game and halftime. Plus, before the game, local coaches from the 6-on-6 girls basketball era will be recognized.

Proceeds from the event will go toward building a monument of the former school building that will eventually be placed on the southeast corner of the community center.
