The girls’ track & field squad at Greene County High School has a half-dozen State Meet veterans. That list includes sophomore Lily Muir, who competed last May at Drake Stadium in Des Moines in three events- long jump, 10 flight shuttle hurdle relay, and 4 x 200 meter relay.
Muir shared her goals for 2019 with Raccoon Valley Radio. “I think we have some really fast runners this year and my goals include everyone getting together and working as hard as we can. I think we’ll have some good relays and individual events that can make it to State.”
Muir, the Greene County girls, as well as the boys, are all competing today in Storm Lake. It’s the Buena Vista University Elite High School Coed Meet inside the Siebens Center starting at 10 a.m. More than 20 schools from the small to the large are scheduled to compete.
The Rams send the girls to Ames on Monday for the Iowa State University High School meet inside the Lied Recreation Center. The Rams send the boys to the same meet on Tuesday.
