The ADM Tigers Boys’ and Girls’ Track teams are sprinting back into competition after four days since their last meet. After spending the entire day on Tuesday in the northeast corner of the state in Waverly at Wartburg College, this weekend they travel to the northwest corner of Iowa. On Saturday, the Boys’ and Girls’ Track teams will be competing in a Varsity Co-ed Invitation at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.

After a strong performance in Waverly earlier in the week, the Tigers hope their early success will continue throughout the marathon season. Adel-Desoto-Minburn had several performers impress the crowd at the Wartburg College Co-ed Invitational.

Long distance Sophomore sensation, Nate Mueller, won the 3200 meter in a landslide victory. The second and third place finishers were both 10 and 18 seconds behind Mueller, respectively, and both run for neighboring, 4A powerhouse, Waukee. The Tigers also saw strong performances from Cooper Greensdale and Senior, Lucas Heitz.

For the girls, ninth grader, Olivia Tollari was runner-up in the 400 meter dash. The Tigers also had three, top ten finishes in the 200, 400, and 800 meter relay.

ADM will make the trip to Storm Lake early on Saturday for the all day indoor event at Buena Vista.
