A State Meet qualifier in Class 2A in the long jump and 200 meter dash as a sophomore in 2018, Greene County track & field junior Colby Kafer is optimistic about the 2019 season not just for himself, but for the entire team. He was asked where that optimism comes from. “We keep records of our 40 and 60 yard dash times, so I went back and looked at last year, and we’re already a lot faster.”

Kafer, his boys’ teammates, and the Greene County girls will all be in Storm Lake on Saturday for their second indoor meet of the season. It’s the Buena Vista University High School Meet inside the Siebens Center.
