The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board will convene Wednesday evening instead of Monday for their monthly regular session.

First, there will be a closed session starting at 5 p.m. to discuss purchase of real estate. The regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m., starting with a report on the Experience Success Today Conference, and discussion of the fiscal year 2020 budget. The Board will then approve the publication of the proposed budget, and set a public hearing for the next regular session to approve it. Next, they will consider a resolution for the continued shared expense with the City of Adel for the School Resource Officer.

Other action items on the agenda include: the first amendment on the owner and architect agreement on pre-bond referendum support services; quotes for the refinishing of the high school gym floor; E-Rate projects; the selection of the negotiation team; and a resolution amending the authorization of general obligation bonds approved in April of 2018. The meeting will end with discussion on a potential Board vacancy, the certified handbook, branding projects, and snow make-up days.

The meeting will be held in the ADM District Board Room, located at 215 North 11th Street in Adel.
