Today is opening day for boys and girls golf across the state of Iowa. One of the teams primed to make a run at a state title resides in Guthrie County. The Panorama boys golf team returns a talented team to the tees this spring, led by 2018 state individual qualifier Kolby Shackelford.

Shackelford, who was one stroke away from the Class 2A state title, will have plenty of assistance in the chase for team representation at the state meet in May. Other golfers expected to play a role for the Panthers include: seniors Trey Cobb, Dylan Douglass, and Jacob Iseminger, and sophomores Wyatt Appleseth, Ryan Klinge, and Lucas Leiferman.
