ADM's Karina Dufoe
Adel-Desoto-Minburn alum Karina Dufoe is in the midst of her final season for the University of South Dakota track and field team. The Tiger track star has already graced the ovals for the 2018-2019 indoor season. She started out the campaign grabbing 3rd place finishes in both the 60 and 200 meter dashes at the South Dakota State Holiday Invitational in Brookings on November 30th.
Since then she’s recorded two top-three finishes in both the 60 and 200 meter dashes. Her highlight of the indoor season came in January at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational in Brookings. There she claimed the 200 meter dash title two seconds ahead of North Dakota’s Mosetta Bodah. Dufoe’s accolades in Brookings continued last month at the Summit League Indoor Championships. She collected 4th place finishes in both races for the Coyotes.
The Coyotes will begin their outdoor schedule this upcoming weekend in California at the UC Irvine Spring Break Classic. Dufoe holds the ADM girls records for the 100, 200, and 400, as well as a share in the 4×400 relay and sprint medley relay. The two-time Class 3A state champion is a media and journalism major with a minor in criminal justice.
