The Adel City Council will convene Tuesday evening in regular session.
The meeting will begin with a public hearing to present the fiscal year 2020 budget, and later in the meeting the Council will consider it for approval. During comments from the public, there will be presentations from James R. Cobb Photography about an aerial photo of the City, and Brooke Ramsey with Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Authority (HIRTA). In new business, the Council will consider a resolution to purchase land adjacent to Evans Park. Next, they will set a public hearing for April 9th to discuss rezoning land from agricultural to residential for Cramer and Associates. The Council will then designate the low bidder and award a contract for the stormwater utility improvement project on North 15th Street.
Other items on the agenda include: accepting construction completed on the stormwater project; approval of a soil boring bid for the wastewater treatment plant project; several change orders and pay estimates; updating the street superintendent job description; approving the first amendment to the site lease agreement with New Cingular Wireless; the dissolution of the Adel-Dallas County Public Corporation; a farm lease of City land; and setting a public hearing to amend the Planned Urban Development ordinance. Finally, the Council will consider special event applications for the 2019 Market to Market and Rock’N Friday dates.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers at Adel City Hall.
