Today is the first official day of practice for the ACGC boys and girls golf teams. Both teams will be looking to improve on their 2018 campaigns.

Junior Kena Baier led the Charger girls last season. As a sophomore Baier shot a team best 116 after 18 holes at the Class 2A Region 2B First Round held at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora last May. Baier was twelve strokes shy of qualifying to the regional finals. A trio of juniors will join Baier this season. SallyJo Geckler, Morgan Sheeder, and Jessica Stringer are expected to join Baier for the Chargers this season.

On the boys side, sophomore Eli Kading is expected to lead a crew who were also unable to qualify an individual to the district round. Other Chargers expected to participate this season for the boys include: seniors McKlain Jorgensen and Spencer Grove, junior Casson Benson, and sophomores Seth Danker and Nolan Wheatley.

The first event on the schedule for the Chargers is a triangular against Ogden and Woodward-Granger at Woodward on April 1st.
