Greene County has four indoor track & field meets on its boys’ schedule. One is down and three are yet to go. Head coach Chad Morton is excited about the improvement he’s seen from last season to this, not only from those that led the 2018 squad, but up and down the lineup. “We have several that have done really well with their training. I think you’ll see more kids do well than just those that did well last year. They’re seeing the improvement and that’s big for an athlete. If they can see improvement and you can show them how they’ve improved, then they buy in and get excited about it, and that’s what it’s all about.”
The Rams were inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls on March 5 for the very large A.D. Dickinson Relays. Greene County had several top 25 finishes, led by junior Carter Morton. He was second in the high jump with a personal best clearance of 6′ 4″.
Next up for the Greene County girls and boys is the Buena Vista University High School Meet on Saturday, March 16 inside the Siebens Center in Storm Lake.
