The next Perry Fine Arts concert is coming up, but it won’t be on the day and time frequent attendees may be used to.

On Tuesday, March 12th, the Fine Arts Committee is welcoming the Drake University Women’s Chorale for an evening concert. Committee member Cathy Clark says the deviation from the normal Sunday afternoon time frame is so they can involve Perry High School students. “We as the Perry Fine Arts always try to do something with a school activity, and this year we chose the high school. So they are going to come during the day and work with the Treble Clef Choir, and so they will be practicing and singing together and working on different music. The concert will be in the evening, and the Treble Clef Choir will join them for a song. So we’re really excited to have this opportunity to share with Perry students university-quality music programs. And so we hope to promote a lot of good music on that night.”

The concert will be held March 12th at 7 p.m. in the Perry Performing Arts Center. There is no cost to attend, though Clark reminds people that free will donations are always accepted and any proceeds will fund future Fine Arts concerts.
