A Stuart native closed her collegiate basketball career with some postseason award recognition. Bailee Arnburg, a 2015 West Central Valley alum, finished her senior season at Grand View University as one of the Lady Vikings honorable mention selections for the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Arnburg started all 31 games and was a co-captain this winter on the Lady Vikings Women’s basketball team. She averaged 9.2 points and connected on 38 three-point field goals. Arnburg’s most significant improvement came from the free throw line this winter, improving her percentage 21 points from 55% as a junior to 76% as a senior. Her career came to an end on February 25, falling to Culver Stockton College in the opening round of the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament, 72-63. The Grand View Lady Vikings 2018-19 season ended with a record of 12-19 overall.
