First year head coach Zach Beekman and his coaching staff presented awards to Greene County wrestlers on Monday night. Manager Kylie Angell and 19 wrestlers were letterwinners. Wrestlers lettering were seniors: Joe Anderson, Clint Dennhardt, Bryce Hoyle, Brock Wuebker, and foreign exchange student Ran Fawarsy. Juniors earning letters were Braden Gallagher, Will Hansen, Colby Kafer, Matt Naberhaus, and Joel Ward. Letterwinners as sophomores are Joe Davis, Chance McCollom, Cameron Miller, Sawyer Schiltz, and Brady Stauffer. Freshmen lettering are Nate Black, Brenner Gallagher, Noble Hoyt, and John Sprague.
Super Booster awards went to Kylie Angell and Dave Davis. Brock Wuebker received the Most Valuable wrestler award. Joe Anderson received the Most Improved JV wrestler awards and the Outstanding JV wrestler award in honor of Logan Scheuermann went to Brenner Gallagher. Joel Ward received the Most Improved Varsity wrestler award in honor of Aaron Beaman. The Citizenship award in honor of Brad Badger went to Will Hansen. The Iron Heart award in honor of Fred Watson was presented to Matt Naberhaus. The Warrior Ethos award in honor of Jake Taggart went to Brenner Gallagher, and the Guts Club award went to Brenner Gallagher and Joe Anderson. Those two attended every practice and remained eligible to compete all season.
The Rams were 17-11 in dual meets, 5-2 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, had District qualifiers in Braden Gallagher, Ward, Dennhardt, Hoyle, and Wuebker. Hoyle and Wuebker also qualified for the Class 2A State tournament.
