Children are invited to learn about local animals at a free program at Springbrook State Park.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting Animal Adaptations and Tracks this Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Springbrook. Kids and their parents are welcome to explore adaptations of local animals, make plaster casts of animal prints, and hit the trails in search of tracks and other signs of animal activity in the park. Attendees are asked to meet at the park house and dress for the weather. In case of inclement weather, you can call 641-295-6028 to confirm the program status.
