The 2018-2019 season was a record breaking one for the ACGC girls basketball team. Among those records were a couple smashed by a freshman. Chloe Largent broke the career and single-season record for blocks with 25.
The previous single-season record was set in the 2016-2017 campaign by then senior Rachel Courtney with 13. The previous career record was set at the end of last season by then senior Mady Smith with 14. Largent recorded at least two blocks in eight of ACGC’s 22 contests. She also collected three blocks in two games, which ties a single-game record.
In addition to blocks, Largent has already cracked the career and single-season top-ten with 136 points and 105 rebounds. Her top performance this season came at Woodward-Granger on February 5th with 16 points and nine rebounds. Alaina Bunde was the other representative of this season’s freshman class. She totaled two points, five rebounds, and one assist for the gold and black this season.
