Tuesday, February 26th

6:18am: A Traffic Stop at Harrison and Wilson resulted in Julie Byerly of Jefferson being cited for, “Insufficient Number of Headlamps.”

10:12am: An officer came upon a Backing Accident in the 200 Block of North Locust Street. Neither vehicle had damages and both parties advised they did not need a report.

10:25am: Aerial Hess reported the smell of natural gas in the area of the 200 Block of South Oak Street. The officer could not locate the source of the odor. Alliant Energy was contacted.

10:40am: An officer checked on a 911 Hang Up Call from 304 North Chestnut Street. A child was playing with the phone.

11:32am: The Greene County Middle School requested an officer at 203 West Harrison Street for a possible Suicidal Juvenile. The officer transported the juvenile to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.

12:20pm: The White Oak Station turned in a small baggie of suspected narcotics that was located in the business on the floor. The officer is investigating.

2:53pm: An officer checked on a WIT Bus that was reported to be stuck on the RR Crossing at North Maple Street. The bus had been removed.

3:53pm: Jefferson Fire and Jefferson Officers assisted the Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle fire at Henderson Park.

6:12pm: Lorrie Lawrence requested officers at 802 West Monroe Street for a possible Suicidal Female. The officers transported the female to ER for evaluation.

8:52pm: Kyle Roeder reported two stray dogs near Lincoln Way and Grimmell. The officer placed the dogs in the Animal Holding Facility.

9:51pm: Sean Sebourn reported a subject walking on the roadway in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street. The officer did not locate the subject.
