Guthrie County residents interested in volunteering for Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity are reminded of three public meetings happening this week.
Volunteers are needed to do construction work; recruit, select, and support partner families; provide food for workers and coordinate volunteers; as well as leaders to fill the county and affiliate board of directors. The meetings take place tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Guthrie Center and at 7:30 p.m. at the Faith Bible Church in Panora, and at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Stuart. If you are unable to attend any of the meetings you can contact Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity Associate Director Jeff Lamoureux at 515-386-3093 or ad@heartofiowahabitat.org or visit their website at heartofiowahabitat.org.
