The Fall 2018 Bock Foundation grant presentation, and recipient Mary Hillman with PACES
The Bock Family Foundation of Perry is preparing for their spring grant cycle, and the deadline to submit applications is approaching.
The Foundation supports local nonprofit organizations twice a year, with grant presentations in the spring and fall. Groups considered for funds include those operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. Each project funded must be located in Dallas County, and preference for grants is given to the four northwest townships. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, March 1st, with the grant presentation taking place in April. Those selected to receive funds will be notified ahead of time so they can be present at the event to receive their money.
The Bock Foundation was formed in 2002, and since then they have awarded more than $1.8 million to local nonprofits. This past October, the Foundation gave $56,000 to 19 different organizations. Applications can be mailed to 1401 Willis Avenue, PO Box 487, Perry, IA, 50220. Anyone with questions can contact Scott Finneseth, Executive Director of the Foundation, at 515-465-4641, or at lawyers@fdplawfirm.com.
