Road conditions continue to vary across the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, Interstate-80 through Guthrie and Dallas counties, along with Highway 25 south of Highway 141, Highway 169 from Minburn south to Winterset and Highway 44 from Dallas Center through Guthrie County travel is not advised. All other roads in Dallas County are partially covered with snow, while roads in Guthrie and Greene counties are completely covered with snow. DOT officials are also reporting a tow ban is in place for Dallas County.

Plow crews continue to be out clearing the roads of snow. If you encounter a plow truck, make sure to give them plenty of room to work. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network provides cancellation and postponement information, as well as road condition updates during severe winter weather.
