The deadline to register your children in the 2019 Adel Parks and Recreation youth baseball and softball leagues is approaching.

There are an assortment of leagues available to both boys and girls of different age groups, starting with the Little Sluggers. The parent-coached program focuses on teaching children ages 3 and 4 the basics of the sport using a tee and wiffle ball and bat. The next group is t-ball, for kids ages 5 and 6. Pitched leagues are available with age divisions of 7 and 8, 9 and 10, and 11 and 12 in both baseball and softball. Most softball games will be played at the Adel Softball complex at Kinnick-Feller Park, while the baseball games will be played at the Adel Little League Fields. There will also be a few games in other communities.

Cost to participate is $35 per child for Little Sluggers, $70 for t-ball, and $85 for the older age groups. The deadline to sign up is this Friday, and registration can be done online by clicking the first link below.
