Guthrie County high schools are now midway through the 2019 speech season as students get ready for the District Individual Contest this Saturday.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center is sending 25 students to perform in the categories of poetry, prose, literary program, acting, solo musical theatre, storytelling, after dinner, reviewing, expository address, public address, original oratory, improv, and radio news. They will be competing at Atlantic High School.

Panorama and West Central Valley are both competing at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School. Eighteen Panorama students will be performing in the categories of acting, public address, musical theatre, improv, prose, expository address, acting, storytelling, poetry, original oratory, literary program, public address, and after dinner speaking. Fifteen West Central Valley students will be performing in the categories of improv, spontaneous speaking, reviewing, acting, solo musical theatre, storytelling, prose, poetry, literary program, and radio news.
