The 2019 Iowa State Wrestling tournament saw three Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers stand atop the podium Saturday evening. Senior Andrew Flora fell one match short of a repeat state title opportunity, fighting back to take third place in Class 2A’s 126-pound bracket. Senior Nolan Harsh, who’s been one match short of the medal stand his sophomore and junior season, broke through in his final campaign with a fourth-place finish in the 182-pound bracket. He provided the toughest test for the champion in his weight division, taking Washington senior Tristan Westphal to overtime in their semifinal bout before falling by a 6-4 sudden victory. Junior Kaden Sutton got all the way to the state championship match at 220 pounds, dropping a 12-7 decision against Woodward-Granger junior Cody Fisher. ADM finished 12th overall in the final Class 2A standings, tallying 51 team points.
