Today we celebrate President’s Day, and with that in mind, there are several offices and businesses that are closed in Jefferson.

County offices in the Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, Greene County Extension office, Jefferson Public Library and the Jefferson Post Office are closed in observance of the holiday. Civil court hearings and the Clerk of Court’s office will be open in the courthouse. Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson city staff also reminds property owners that due to the holiday, garbage routes will be delayed by one day. Garbage routes will return to normal schedules next week.
